Contract to hire: Software Developer (VB/VB.Net)- Denver, CO 3 month (CTH) -- chrisisaac06 --
Hello, Kforce is seeking developers for the following opportunity. This is located in Denver, CO and is a 3 month contract to hire. Job Description: The Software developer's main role is writing and testing both new and existing code, troubleshooting application issues, responding to requests and providing status. Additionally the software developer will be called upon to design and interpret business requirements, as well as product standard software documentation. Represent the COMPANY'S Technologies core values, core purpose, and envisioned future. Assist with the development of detailed design documents. Assist in developing programming specifications. Write code to specification. Ensure all code written is thoroughly unit-tested before releasing it to the project library. Ensure code written is compatible with the software system's and organization's architecture. This may include paying attention to reusability factors. Assist with system testing (including integration testing and user testing). Assist in developing user documentation. Prepare technical documentation. Assist with the maintenance of COMPANY'S Technologies' development environment. This includes specific responsibilities for maintaining a project-specific development environment, as well as general responsibilities for helping maintain the COMPANY'S Technologies Developer Network and Developer Area. Adhere to the training requirements for COMPANY'S Tech staff as described in the Training Guidelines. Communicate fully with project managers and project leads, giving complete information about technical roadblocks, anticipated schedule slippages, or any other issues that will affect the project's schedule and/or budget. REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 3+ years software development experience; VB/VB.Net with one or more of the following: C, C++, OOD, C#, or SQL strongly preferred; additional skills include XML, ASP, and Java experience.
