When we designed the Grandma's Attic Armoire we wanted to capture a bit of nostalgia by incorporating American Victorian styling. We wanted something beautiful yet still functional in the modern home. This is the breathtaking result. The warm antique finish is sure to bring a soothing and relaxed presence to the bedroom setting. A roomy central cabinet with two paneled oak doors offers plenty of space for your television and DVD player or for your linens -- however you choose to use it. Oval ring and drop bale hardware complete the antique look. We construct each of these armoires to last a lifetime by using solid oak and select oak veneers. Drawer and door fronts moldings and pilasters are all crafted of solid oak. Our intensive finishing process includes two protective topcoats burnishing and hand-padding. We then add subtle highlights and use dry brushing and antiquing techniques to achieve this distinctive look.
